gonna get my piece of shit bike worked on next week....finally.

ran like a champ for a couple weeks after i bought it,

then it crapped out not getting any fuel to the engine.

prob something minor, i hope.

in the mean time i've been living the good life through other peoples pictures

of life on the road. andy feels my paint too now.

his alternator went out the other day resulting in a long bike "push and roll".

i hate pushing a machine that is supposed to make me go fast.

prob one of the best paint jobs i've seen in a while. bars and grips frame it well too.

from the ashes

found this little beauty in some burned down ruins of the hotel we stayed at over the weekend.

it was the only thing really left in the shell of a building.

there was a GIANT raven squaking at me as i rummaged through the place.

then a falcon landed above me and did the same thing.

later that night brooke had ghost nightmares.

she took it as a sign that i should put the radio back where i found it, and that it wasn't meant to

be taken from there.

took it home anyways, plugged it in, and it works perfectly!

depending on how the padres play while listening through it, decides if i return it or not.

when i grow up

im going to have one of these in my back yard.

or maybe my front yard.

or no yard, and just one of these.

well the new place in borrego was pretty rad.

the palms hotel was everything i wanted and more!

was 100 degrees and breezy. pool was perfect temp

and i had eggs benedict twice within 24 hours.

a few cold ones forced me to miss out on night swimming

with the banoosh.

weird how many rabbits live on the property, and we saw

a road runner sneak past the pool in the shade.

only downfall was that the old bar that has windows

into the deep end of the pool is closed! looks like it

has been for a while actually (like decades).

but i will be going back soon!

see ya next weekend Palms hotel! or the weekend after that.

a couple years later that stupid reality t.v. show with the same name came out.

i was in the grocery store, and the old lady cashier said "i love that show too!"

needless to say i never wore that hat again.

high altitude bike rats

had this pic sent to me from a friend. heres the caption that went along with it:

A group of tourists arrived in a cloud of dust on their old Royal Enfield motorbikes. They were traveling from Lhasa to Kathmandu over the dusty Friendship Highway, only named so because of the altitude...
They stopped in Taschi for a while to drink some soup and to fix one of the tires, but as soon as they went inside the restaurant a group of kids on their way back from school took their chance and jumped on, gesturing wildly and making motor noises.

They did not pose and I had just chance to make a few quick shots before the tourleader chased the kids away..
